project background

In 2014, I was selected by Huawei's Talent Lab program to participate in a month-long training program in computer science in China. The program included visits to the cities of Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing, where I had the opportunity to learn about Huawei's latest technologies and innovations in the field of computer science. The program also included hands-on training and workshops, as well as opportunities to meet and network with other professionals in the field.

design goal

The design goal of my personal project, Zhongguo, is to document the diversity and beauty of the Chinese people through photography. Using a sheet of paper that roughly said in Chinese "may I take your picture?", I roamed the streets of China during my training as a Huawei Talent Lab trainee, capturing unique personalities and stories of individuals encountered. The photographic album aims to convey the richness and complexity of Chinese culture and its people, providing a visual representation of my experiences and understanding of the country.
